Hello guys, I hope my question here can shed some light on a topic going on here in NH. The topic of hunting arrows getting into farm equipment, in bails of hay and killing cows is being discussed. In NH there’s a law that our hunting arrows need to have our name and address on it so farmers and loggers can find us and blame us for saws blades exploding and cows dying. If the law is not removed from the books, it's no big deal to me. Even though it's a pain in the butt and I feel the law is useless, I do follow the law and put my info on the arrows. Now I grew up on a small farm and have been a bow hunter for a very long time. I've hunted farmland in MD, PA, WV, NH and never heard of cows/horses/pigs or any farm animal being killed by eating broad heads lost by hunters in fields. However, we seem to have a have a member in this discussion that butchered a cow once and cut himself on a single broad head in the cow. I asked if the name and address on the arrow help recoup money for his injury but he never replied yet. I'm just curious if this really happens? If so, how often have you heard it happening? Again, I've hunting a long time on lots of farmland and never heard of such things actually happening and need to know if I’ve just been out of some loop. Listening to some of these guys, it seems like this happens every day and is a serious issue to farmer’s way of life. Thanks and God Bless
