Here we're getting the planter ready to plant corn in about a week and a half and working on the combine sprayer from time to time. If it's a wet summer like they are predicting I bet we'll surpass 4000 acres on our "new" planter, which is really good.

How do you lime your fields as well, like all equal coverage on the ton per acer or variable per acre?

Most guys around here (Salem, South Dakota) have their corn planters sitting in front of the shed, and have their seed purchased and waiting to start planting in late April and May. I saw a guy pulling a disk today and some people have tilled where it is wet to try to dry it up. Saw another guy spreading hog shit on the dry parts of his field. The fields are pretty wet around here though from all the snow melting.

were gona start planting corn in a week or two. Is it going to be dryland corn, irrigated, or sub-irrigated? And also, how may acres. Here we plant rye in September/October, Corn in April through July, and milo, soybeans, peas, cotton, and sesame in the months of May, June, and July.
